   Pictured is an unidentified child, John Gordon Stafford, his grandson, Cleo Stafford (Violet's brother, about 1914 in Bluefield, West Virginia. JohnGordon served in the Civil War in the 24th Virginia Infantry.

   Violet May Stafford (1904-1991), age abt. 10, Mable E. Graves, her mother, Victoria Simpson, Violet's grandmother (her mother's mother), and her brother, Cleo Stafford - abt 1913.
Fred Emory Stafford
   Fred Emory Stafford, (1879-1934) in uniform, Charlie's grandfather and Violet's father, was a NY Central Railroad policeman who died of heart failure while investigating a red flare in the railroad yard in Weehawken, NJ. The red flare turned out to be the flash from a brakeman's lantern.
Cleo Stafford
   Cleo Stafford, Fred Emory Stafford and either John Gordon Stafford or Violet's step-grandfather (on her mother's side) Buchanan in Hudson County Park, North Bergen, NJ.

   Violet May Stafford, John Gordon Stafford (or Gr.Fr. Buchanan) and Cleo Stafford.
Carole and Charlie
   Carole Lee Gledhill and Charles Lawrence Felten, Jr. who reside six months in Forked River, NJ and six months in Delray Beach, FL. Charlie's mother was Violet May Stafford, born in Giles County, Virginia.
