bulletAlbert Jason Weaver(1) was born on 15 Jul 1858 in Troy, Miami, Ohio, USA. He died on 31 Oct 1947 in Atlanta, Fulton, Georgia, USA. He was buried on 1 Nov 1947 in Oak Dale Cem, Champaign, Ohio, USA. He has reference number A4. !BIRTH: 15 JUL 1858 in Troy, Miami County, OH. Census of 1860
gives his age as 2 years old (Dwelling #29 1st of June 1860,
Urbana, Champaign Co., OH - M653 Reel 942 microfilm at
Champaign Co. Library, Urbana.) Note: day and month is from
Death Certificate.
!MARRIAGE: To Mary Ellen STAFFORD RIN5, daughter of Emanuel
STAFFORD RIN10, guardian of Albert Jason (see guardianship
list below). See Microfilm pg 163 Urbana Library for mar-
riage data.
!DEATH: 31 OCT 1947 at Rest Home, 745 Cherokee Ave., SW, Atlanta,
Fulton, GA. Death certificate is on file at the Georgia
Department of Human Resources, Trinity Ave., Fulton County,
Atlanta, Ga. (Compiler's comment: Photocopy is in RIN4
folder. There are two errors - 1. His father's name was
Jason, not Joseph and 2. the informant's signature is a
forgery since the compiler knows his own father's handwrit-
ing and also his father would never have misspelled his
name, Laurence, which has a "w" instead of a "u" on this
certificate. Compiler's name is also spelled with a "u".)
!BURIAL: LOT 32, SEC. 45,, Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, Ohio.
There are also two unmarked graves recorded for "Infant
Weaver" one 1881, the other 1885. Wife's headstone has
incorrect middle "A" instead of correct "E" for Ellen. Note:
Order given by compiler to Urbana Monument Co. in June 1986
to have this error corrected. Compiler has since viewed the
marker and it is now correct. To find lot, keep to extreme
right on entering the cemetery and go to Kenton Monument.
It is the Simeon WEAVER lot.
!RESIDENCES:
Urbana, Ohio -
Entered in the first page of her cookbook - "Buckeye Cookery, Bu ckeye Publishing Company, 1879 Minneapolis, Minn." was enscri bed: "Mrs. A. Weaver, Kingman, Kansas, October 11, 1882".
Postmark on card July 13, 1904 giving address: 246 West 22 St. N ew York, N.Y. (see Postcard in fil e folder 3-4,3-5) Nanuet, Rockland Co., N.Y. (home owned by so n, Frank) - San Diego,
Ca - Atlanta, Ga. (at home of son, Laurence {sr.} at 2890
Howell Mill Rd NW and later at a Rest Home near Little Five
Points, Atlanta)
!VOCATION: The complier has little or no knowledge of the work
record of his grandfather although he stayed with his grand-
parents frequently from about 1924 on. Compiler remembers
listening to 1924 Democratic Convention on radio in
Nanuet, Rockland County, N.Y. where they cared for home
owned by son, Frank S. WEAVER, while he traveled
throughout the country with his wife (nickname - May) on
vaudeville circuits using stage name of Frank STAFFORD.
Earlier than compiler's knowledge, his grandfather had lost
many fingers in a rail accident when he, according to family
stories, was a railroad worker. This is not proven, but
since his uncle, Lemuel WEAVER, was Secretary and
Treasurer of the Mad River and Lake Erie Railroad (later
part of the Big Four, this could have been where he worked.
Stories were also told of his operating a sheep ranch in
Kingman, Kansas, where his father-in-law, (and one-time
guardian), Emanuel STAFFORD also farmed.

parentage by Jason WEAVER, as well as that of his second

bulletFrank Stafford Weaver(1) was born on 4 Jul 1882 in Urbana, Champaign, Ohio, USA. He died about 1945 in San Diego, , California, USA. He has reference number A72. !DEATH:
This compiler has no record, but it was in San Diego before
the death in 1953 of this compiler's father - probably in
the middle 1940s.
!RESIDENCES:
Mostly in hotels country-wide while on tour. Since that was
their means of earning a living, this was most of the time.
His father and mother (this compiler's grandparents) cared
for the Nanuet residence by living there.
Urbana, Champaign, Ohio; Nanuet, Rockland, New York; San
Diego California
After retirement from the stage (vaudeville gradually ceased
to exist after the success of "talking" movies), they
bought an apartment building in San Diego CA as a home and
as an investment. Compiler's address book from late 1920s
and early 1930s shows address - 1430 7th St. San Diego, CA
!SOURCE(1):
Mostly personal knowledge of the compiler. His Uncle Frank
owned the residence of his father and mother in Nanuet,
Rockland County NY where the compiler spent a great deal of
time as a youngster. The Frank WEAVERs were stars on the
vaudeville stages of theaters throughout the U.S. and played
several times at the Palace Theater on Times Square in New
York. This theater was the goal of all vaudeville actors -
the "Tony Award" of that day! They came home to Nanuet
between contracts with various booking chains and it was
there that the compiler became close to his Uncle when a
young child.
!REMARKS(1):
He trained English and Irish setter dogs that performed on
stage with he and his wife. One skit remembered by this
compiler was based on the Rip Van Winkle legend. He was a
talented whistler and he performed songs such as "Listen to
the Mocking Bird" accompanied by the theater orchestra. Parents: Albert Jason Weaver and Mary Ellen (Molly) Stafford .
